Roaring Day -Heartrending Night
As many other of my paintings, this is a project on opposites.
The duality of the subject expresses the double facet with equal energy, which is confronted from the inside and outside. In this case DAY is represented in its radiance and NIGHT in its dramatic and dark side.
The obstacle of transporting large paintings oversea and the demand of smaller pieces prompted the reduction in size of some of my paintings, made me decide to begin working on large surfaces and then, with more intimacy, cut them out carefully, and by the way of retouching and adding details, return to them their own individuality and achieve their unique placement in space.
